Texas Medicaid WHP Funding for Planned Parenthood is in Limbo

Yesterday, a Judge in Austin, Texas, ruled that the state of Texas cannot ban Planned Parenthood from receiving funding from the Medicaid Women’s Health Program (WHP). Today, a different judge issued a stay on that injunction. This means that whether or not Planned Parenthood can use WHP funding is in limbo, for now. This has been an ongoing battle. Medicaid is a program that is partially funded by an individual state, and partially funded by the federal government.
